ONLINE REGISTRATION & RESERVATION UPGRADES
Study room reservations will now be made through D!BS. All you need to enter is your name and email, but you can enter your cell phone number to take advantage of text confirmations and reminders. You can reserve a room once per day for up to two hours per reservation, and your reservation can be made up to one week in advance.

EVENTS CALENDAR
The new calendar, Signup, allows for online credit card payment for programs that have a fee, so you no longer need to come in to register for those few programs (click “Pay Now” when registering). Other features introduce color coded events based on the intended age group and ability to choose a reminder method that now includes texting. “Reading Rocks”
WINTER READING, JAN 2 – FEB 28

Adults, Teens, and Independent Readers (grades 2-5) only have to read two books and choose two other activities, which include reading additional books, listening to a CD, watching a DVD, playing a video game, reading a magazine, or attending a program. Young Readers (birth-grade 1) have to have 16 books read to them (or read 16 books if they’re able). As usual we’ll have sign-up and finishing prizes, plus a chance for finishers to win one of the grand prizes for each age group. Second chance reading logs will be available again and finishers will be entered for another chance at the grand prize.

To kick off winter reading we will have Culture Shock Chicago on January 15 for kids (and the young at heart) and to close out we will have an adults only dance party featuring The StingRays on February 23 (see details below).
