Please note that we do not have a mail ballot drop box at the Library. You may surrender your mail ballot and signature envelope and vote in person if you wish, but there is not a box for dropping off mail-in ballots. There are four mail ballot drop boxes in McHenry County. If you received a mail-in ballot and wish to vote in person, but don’t bring the ballot with you, the election judge will have to give you a provisional ballot which will be counted after Election Day.
Other voting options:
- Voting by mail: registered voters may visit their county election authority website (McHenry county residents | Lake County residents) to request a mail ballot by October 29, 2020. Read through the Vote By Mail FAQs from McHenry County. You can also sign up to track your mail-in ballot.
- Election day: on November 3, voting for Algonquin precincts 46 and 65 only will take place at the Library.Â
