Letter to the community from our new Executive Director

My name is Ashley Huffines, and I’m honored to introduce myself as the new Executive Director of the Cary Area Public Library.

Having completed my first month in this role, I want to take a moment to share my gratitude and reflect on what has already been an inspiring beginning. Over the past several weeks, I’ve had the opportunity to meet with our dedicated staff, volunteers, and community partners. I’m impressed by the passion and care that go into making this Library a welcoming and meaningful space for everyone. It is clear that this Library is more than a building and is a cornerstone of our community. As Executive Director, my goal is to support and strengthen the excellent work already being done while also listening carefully to your ideas and needs. I am committed to ensuring that our Library continues to serve all members of our community for another 75 years.

Thank you for the warm welcome I have received during my first month. I look forward to getting to know more of you in the weeks, months, and years ahead as we work together to shape a strong, vibrant future for the Cary Area Public Library.
