A Message from the Board: Welcome to our new Executive Director, Ashley Huffines! 
The Library Board is pleased to announce that our new Executive Director, Ashley Huffines, will start on November 24.
Ashley grew up in McHenry County and has served as the Executive Director of the Freeport Public Library for the past 7 years, and has 3 additional years of Executive Director experience at the Dunlap Public Library. We feel that Ashley’s experience and leadership style are an excellent fit for CAPL, and we’re excited to welcome her to our community. We look forward to sharing a welcome letter from Ashley after her start date so the community can get to know her in her own words.
We wish a fond farewell to our previous Executive Director, Mona Reynolds. We’re excited to see what the future holds in this next chapter for our Library, and we appreciate all of our staff and community members’ understanding as we transition into new leadership. We will continue to be committed to providing excellent service, programs, and resources to entertain, inform, and inspire.
