For our various reading programs, we use the Beanstack platform. For most programs, we also offer a paper log option.
Year-round programs:
Diamond Reading Challenge – a special reading program to celebrate CAPL’s 75th anniversary in 2026. Participants must use Beanstack for tracking the program.
1,000 Books Before Kindergarten – a special reading program for parents and caregivers to equip their child(ren) for school by reading 1000 books before they enter Kindergarten. Participants may use Beanstack or paper logs, available at our Service Center, to track reading.
Seasonal programs:
Summer Reading – each summer, all ages are invited to participate in this program that incentivizes reading while out of school and/or on vacation. The theme and prizes change each year. Participants may use Beanstack or paper logs, available at our Service Center, to track reading. The 2026 program begins June 1, 2026—stay tuned for details!
Winter Reading – each winter, all ages are invited to participate in this program that incentivizes reading while out of school and/or on holiday break, and the weather may mean more time for indoor activities, like reading. The theme and prizes change each year. Participants may use Beanstack or paper logs, available at our Service Center, to track reading.
