Level Up at Your Library, June 1-July 31

Sign up for our all-ages Summer Reading Challenge, Level Up at Your Library, beginning June 1. Each age category (see below) has a goal in order to finish the program, and the option to read (and do) more to earn extra grand prize tickets. When you sign up, you’ll receive a sign-up prize to get you motivated, while supplies last. Track your books and you’ll earn a halfway prize, a finishing prize, and grand prize tickets as you go. We recommend downloading the Beanstack Tracker app (on iOS |on Android), but you may also log your reading online through the Beanstack website. If you prefer, paper logs will be available June 1 at the Library or can be printed from our website below.

Have some fun in the sun with us at Jaycee Park in Cary for our Summer Reading Celebration on Saturday, June 14 from 1-3 pm. Sign up for Summer Reading (if you haven’t yet), play yard games, and read the current StoryWalk book, which can count towards your summer reading goal. Raindate is Saturday, June 21, 1-3 pm

Young Readers (infants-grade 1 in the fall) | print a log
Read 40 books with or to your child to finish the challenge. Reading 10 books earns a digital badge and one grand prize ticket! There is the option to read more and/or complete an activity to earn additional tickets.
Grand prizes: Get on Board! (four junior board games and a Richard Scarry board book), Leveling Up! (three junior board games and a Richard Scarry picture book), On a Roll (four active games and an I Spy book), and Dolphin Swim Club Prize Pack (includes two months of swim lessons and one family open swim).

Independent Readers (grades 2-5 in the fall) | print a log
Read 4 books to finish the challenge. Each book earns a digital badge and one grand prize ticket! There is the option to read more and/or complete an activity to earn additional tickets.
Grand prizes: Next Level Listening (Yoto Mini player), All Achievements Unlocked! (multiple board/logic games and a GameStop gift card), Summer Scares (several spooky books, games, plushie, and snacks), and 4 Platinum Passes to Volo Auto Museum.

Teens (grades 6-12 in the fall) | print a log
Read 2 books to finish the challenge. Each book earns a digital badge and one grand prize ticket! There is the option to read more and/or complete an activity to earn additional tickets.
Grand prizes: Next Level (gaming headphones, ambient light bars, and a GameStop gift card), Fast Foodie (5 gift cards to McDonalds, Taco Bell, Jimmy Johns, Starbucks, and Portillos), Game On! (3 board games and a handheld videogame console with 200 preloaded retro games)

Adults (ages 18+) | print a log
Read 4 books to finish the challenge. Each book earns a digital badge and one grand prize ticket! There is the option to read more and/or complete an activity to earn additional tickets.
Grand prize: Six grand prize winners will receive a $50 gift card. Winner can choose their gift card from these establishments: Cary Ale House, Summer Moon, Georgio’s Pizza, Target, Aldi, and GameStop.
